For some time now, taking care of your car has been possible by turning to independent or branded workshops. In both cases, what a customer is looking for are guarantees of competence, reliability and safety in the maintenance process of their car. Despite the complexity of the information, transferring the technological know-how of each individual car manufacturer to independent workshops has become an important and essential process.
This is why Axitecnica has decided to create an innovative online database capable of supporting mechanics and body shop workers in their daily operations. Through the TechData software it makes available all the technical information obtained directly from the manufacturers and necessary for the diagnostics, maintenance and repair of motor vehicles, thus allowing car repairers to access over 210,000 documents relating to more than 20,000 constantly updated vehicles. It combines this with a series of training activities to improve the efficiency and productivity of workshops, through courses useful for tackling any problem.
To make this process even simpler and faster, Axitecnica turns to us to think and develop a tablet application that allows car repairers to:
- access all TechData databases and services;
- simplify access to all available services;
- make the use of the available data and manuals immediate.
Starting from these needs, our technical team has developed a solution based on the use of artificial intelligence for license plate recognition. Specifically, it is an integrated application for tablets that allows mechanics and body shop workers to quickly trace the make and model of the car, simply by framing the license plate. Once this information has been obtained, it becomes immediate for technicians to access the databases and manuals relating to that specific car, relieving them from a more complex and time-consuming search.
In addition to development, we also took care of the design, creating a graphic identity and a user experience capable of optimizing the process and making it even easier to find useful information for repairs.
